Many small businesses come up with this question on how to create company pages on Linkedin. Many of them in this confusion go ahead and create company profiles as there are individual profiles on Linkedin, which is not what it is meant for. Profiles are for users and not companies. A user profile is meant to include all the relevant professional details about a user on Linkedin and is not targeted for companies.

For LinkedIn members, Company Pages are a great way to research companies you’re interested in, follow them to stay updated, see what kind of people work there, and even review the products and services you use. For companies, Company Pages present an opportunity to reveal the human side of your company. Provide a peek at the individuals behind your brand and highlight how members use your products. Your Company Page offers tools to bring your brand to life."

From the exiting employees to new hires. This is crucial information which a company is sharing with the world while creating an open culture.

The company page also helps the company keep track of how its employees are connecting online and especially this is crucial in terms of what sales teams do. Their contacts on Linkedin can be leveraged by businesses to further their business and presence and create new opportunities.
